The American Mushroom Institute is a national, non-profit trade association which represents the majority of the commercial mushroom growers, processors, buyers, shippers, researchers and others involved in providing services and supplies for the mushroom industry.
The American Mushroom Institute, chartered in 1955, now has offices in Avondale, PA, and Washington, DC. Its structure reflects a cost effective operation, where resources are concentrated on industry priorities that are set by grower members. Membership services are provided in the areas of government relations, research, publications, conferences, insurance and information dissemination through seminars.
